Reflection.
This year we have moved over 600,000 pounds of food to those in need. In turn feed over 40,000 people.
We were Able to assist those states and residents affected by four hurricanes
Laura sally delta zeta.
We have also been fortunate to have some time to revamp our (moc1) trailer
And to add the (AWU) animal welfare unit to our list of resources to help our four legged friends out.
We have logged over 10,000 volunteer hours.
We want to thank all our families and friends that give time to help those in need.

Mobile operations center (moc) done and loaded. This trailer will house. Preparedness hand outs for events. Tents sleeping gear portable lights radios generators chain saws and a ton of other equipment and supplies. We are always here to help our neighbors in need along with other organizations.

For the safety of all those involved, social distancing and proper PPE will be strictly enforced. Temperatures and a questionnaire will be taken prior to entering the building for each class date.
***A minimum class size of 10 is required to hold this training.***
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.
Seeing as hurricane season has passed and we hope to have some down time we started on the mobile operations center(moc1) revamp.

So to answer the question asked yesterday. What could we be doing. Well to better serve those affected by a disaster. We have started the build on our animal welfare unit. This unit will be used to house those animals found by our search and rescue teams. (Professional or private) This will be transitional housing. This is just another way we can help not only people but our four legged family members.
It is definitely a family thing!!! What could we be doing now to better help those we serve????? Anyone have any guesses???????
