Today is the last day of Early Voting for August election. Polls will close today at 4 and reopen Tuesday morning. We have two important seats to be determined this election (Prosecutor and Road Commissioner). Let your voice be heard!!

Special thanks to Webber Township Board and Newkirk/Luther Village Boards for allowing us to use your halls for Early Voting.

Also, as always, hats off to our Township Clerks who always shine with their dedication, commitment and teamwork!!

Lake County voters will be going to the polls this upcoming week in advance of Michigan’s primary election on August 4th. Early voting begins Saturday, July 25th in Lake County communities for nine days.

Please remember, during August Election, that you cannot cross vote party lines and you can go to the Early Voting site and run you own Absent Ballot through the tabulator.

Newkirk and Ellsworth Township will vote at Newkirk/Village Hall and all others will vote at Webber Township Hall. There will be no early voting or ballot drop off at the Court House.

Ballots must be received by your Township Clerk, by 8 pm, on election day to be counted.

• Be a critical consumer of media and only share information that is based on facts and the law. Rely on the Department of State, clerks, and their websites as trusted, official sources.
• Our elections are secure, accurate and fair. Thousands of Republican, Democratic, and nonpartisan election clerks, staff, and volunteers make sure this is true every election.
Before, during or after Election Day, if you encounter election-related information that may be misleading or incorrect, please report it by emailing details and a photo of the misinformation if possible to [email protected].
Additionally, should you witness any voter intimidation, harassment or coercion, please report it. Notify an election worker or contact the nonpartisan election protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE.
