Today, U.S. Army Human Resources Command celebrates two landmark milestones in its commitment to serving Soldiers, veterans, Families and retirees: 50 years as the home of personnel management and 20 years as a command.

Although HRC has undergone numerous changes since the Military Personnel Center was first established in 1973, the mission has always remained the same: maintain Army readiness and take care of Soldiers. Once merged into a single command on Oct. 1, 2003, HRC became poised to further its mission and continue improving its processes.

As the Army looks ahead to what manning the force of the future entails, HRC remains a central factor in optimizing readiness while also providing the best care and service to Soldiers to ensure they are personally and professionally fulfilled.

HRC today is continuously evolving and improving with consistency, transparency and agility to meet the Army’s current and future people needs.
