A lot of people assume they’re still registered to vote… until Election Day proves otherwise.

If you’ve moved, changed your name, skipped an election, or just haven’t checked in a while, take 30 seconds and verify your registration now. Some states quietly remove inactive voters from the rolls every year.

Here’s how to check:

✔ Go to Vote.org or your state election website
✔ Enter your name, address, and birthdate
✔ Confirm your registration is active and your information is correct
✔ Double check your polling location before Election Day

Don’t wait until it’s too late to find out there’s a problem.

A lot of decisions get made before November.

Primary elections are where candidates are chosen, policies start to take shape, and momentum builds.

If your state is voting this month, take a few minutes to look into what’s on your ballot.

Being informed early makes a difference later.

90 million people sitting out is kinda wild when you really think about it.

That’s people who stream the debates, repost the tweets, argue in group chats, complain about prices, schools, jobs, healthcare, rent, safety, and what’s happening in the world… but never make it to the ballot box.

And listen, we get it.
A lot of people feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or like their vote won’t change anything.

But decisions still get made.
Policies still get passed.
People still get elected.

Whether we participate or not.

That’s why voting isn’t just about politics. It’s about who gets heard… and who gets ignored.

Some of the most powerful things we can do for ourselves and our communities don’t cost a thing.

Resting.
Setting boundaries.
Protecting our peace.
Asking questions.
Staying informed.
Using our voice.
Choosing ourselves over burnout.
Believing our voice actually matters.

Black women carry a lot. And while the world constantly tells us to push harder, do more, and survive everything… this is your reminder that taking care of yourself is part of the work too.

Because empowered people make empowered choices.
And empowered Black women change communities.

What’s something that costs you $0 but makes you feel powerful? 👇🏾

Today we remember that while all gave some, some gave all.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to honor the lives, sacrifices, and families forever changed by service to this country.

For Black Americans especially, there is a deep history of serving a country that did not always fully serve us back. Yet generation after generation we still showed up, led, and sacrificed.

Today we honor those who gave everything by remembering them and continuing to show up for our communities.

If you’re honoring a loved one this Memorial Day, share their name in the comments so we can honor them with you. 🇺🇸

We’ve seen people check out of conversations like this on purpose.

“I don’t watch the news.”
“I stay out of politics.”

But then still deal with the results of decisions they had no say in.

You don’t have to know everything…
but you should know enough to make a choice.

Make sure you’re registered. Make sure you vote.
