Join us on June 4th for this engaging work designed to improve your comfort level working with the kink community.
Ready to learn more about working with the B**M/Kink community as health professionals?
HOLDING SPACE FOR KINK emphasizes connection, respect, and learning without judgment.
Rooted in trauma-informed care and intersectionality, it examines how stigma has historically shaped B**M communities in healthcare.
Participants will explore how medical, psychological, and social systems have pathologized non-normative sexualities, especially among Black, q***r, trans, and gender-expansive groups, and how this legacy affects assessment, diagnosis, and access to care. The workshop focuses on ethical practice, cultural humility, harm reduction, and client self-determination. It aims to help nurses, social workers, psychologists, counselors, and allied health professionals improve clinical skills, reduce bias, and promote health equity.
