The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Acquisitions Logistics Center's Cutter Transition Division welcomed U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Confidence (WMEC 619) to the Waterfront Operations and Training Center on Sunday morning for deactivation after 58 years of exemplary service. Coast Guard Cutter Confidence is the second of three 210-foot Reliance-class cutters being placed in “In Commission, Special” status as part of the Coast Guard's Force Alignment Initiative to mitigate workforce shortages across the service.

The Cutter Transition Division is the Coast Guard's single point-of-service for removing cutters from service by providing expertise in project management, logistics, maintenance, operations, and training.
