Before ➡️ After 📍Joseph Lee Park, Bayview Edition.

Illegal dumping? We don’t do that over here.

Thanks to the neighbors who raised the issue (y’all were loud, whew 😅), our office partnered with to clear it out, fast. 💪🏽

A huge thanks to the Recs and Park’s team for jumping in QUICK to clear the illegal dumping (including the sofas and mattresses not pictured!).

We’re not stopping here.

I’ll continue working closely with the Mayor’s Office and agency partners to keep the momentum going and ensure Joseph Lee Park is safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone. 🌳

👀 See something that shouldn’t be there?
📲 Report it to 311 and help keep our parks beautiful.

Wishing everyone peace, love, good health, and happiness in 2025!

This wasn’t just an Inauguration—it was a moment of reflection and purpose. The last time we gathered to swear the City Council in, it was Covid: outside, freezing, distanced. But yesterday? We came together in the heart of Baltimore, warm with hope, grounded in the promise of a brighter future.

Being sworn in with my two nieces—two young Black girls full of brilliance and promise—by my side was more than symbolic. It was a reminder: every decision I make as Chair of the Budget and Appropriations Committee is about our children and the future they deserve.

Thank you to my family and friends, 2nd District residents, my colleagues, and my city for trusting me to continue leading.

🔍 Curious about how we’re tackling health disparities in Baltimore?

Tomorrow, I’ll be sitting down with Dean Sarah Szanton from Johns Hopkins to discuss the Neighborhood Nursing Program —a vital initiative aimed at tackling health disparities across Baltimore City. From free health checks at home to personalized care, this program is changing lives. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the future of community-based care!

⏰ Don’t miss it: Tuesday, September 24th at 12:30 PM

Last night was a celebration of dreams realized and new journeys beginning. District 45’s scholarship event was more than just an awards ceremony—it was a gathering of visionaries, each with their own story, their own battle, and their own path to greatness.

To our scholars: your dreams are valid, your voices are powerful, and your impact will be profound.

Grab your 🕶️, our future is bright!

While we’re staying safe from tonight’s storm and postponing National Night Out, let’s look back at a recent Rock the Block party in Belair-Edison! The event was full of joy, great food, and uplifting community spirit. Huge thanks to everyone who came out and to the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs () for organizing such an unforgettable event!

We can’t wait to see everyone again soon, stay safe tonight! 🌧️➡️🌞
