NBCFAE is honored to stand as a Bronze Sponsor for the 5th Annual Rainey Day Foundation Fundraiser, proudly supporting scholarships that change lives.

We believe that every student deserves access to opportunity, regardless of circumstance. Investing in education is more than giving—it is a commitment to the future, to dreams that are still being formed, and to the brilliance within our communities waiting to be unlocked.

Through this partnership, we are not just supporting scholarships—we are helping to open doors, uplift families, and empower the next generation to soar beyond every limitation.

🖤 Bronze Sponsor Spotlight

We are proud to recognize and thank our Bronze Sponsor, NBCFAE (National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees), for their support of the 5th Annual Rainey Day College Foundation Blackout Benefit Gala.

Since 1976, NBCFAE has been committed to expanding opportunities in aviation, supporting career growth, and building a strong network of professionals dedicated to excellence, leadership, and service across the industry.

Their work to create pathways and elevate access reflects the same commitment to opportunity and advancement that we champion for our scholars.

Thank you for your continued support and for the impact you continue to make across communities and industries.

As the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees, we are more than an organization—we are family. A community built on legacy, resilience, and lifting one another as we climb.

While we as an organization remain non-political, we will always stand in support of our people and the next generation of leaders rising from within our community.

Today, we share with great pride that Kenny Simons, the son of our very own Donnie Simons is stepping forward in service and running for U.S. Congress in Maryland’s District 5.

Kenny is truly an exceptional young man—one whose character, purpose, and commitment to service reflect not only his upbringing, but the strength and excellence that lives within our NBCFAE family. Moments like this remind us that our impact reaches far beyond aviation—we are shaping leaders, building legacy, and opening doors for those who come after us.

We recognize that not everyone in our network resides in Maryland, but support comes in many forms. If you are able, we simply ask that you pour into him in whatever way you can—share his name, offer words of encouragement, contribute if moved to do so, or keep him and the Simons family lifted in prayer.

The Superior Southern Region is continuing to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals.

Today at Orlando International Airport (MCO), members hosted students from Hungerford Elementary School for an exciting day of aviation exposure.

The tours went extremely well, including:
✈️ Two tower tours with 5th grade students

✈️ One airfield tour with 4th grade students

Moments like these help spark curiosity, open young minds to careers in aviation, and demonstrate the importance of mentorship and representation in our industry.

NBCFAE remains committed to lifting as we climb and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.

On Saturday March 14, 2026 the Mighty Northeast Region – NYNE Chapter proudly represented NBCFAE at Girls in Science and Engineering Day, inspiring the next generation of young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and aviation.

Through mentorship and engagement, our members reminded these young leaders that there is a place for them in this industry and that their voices, ideas, and talents matter.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we are reminded that the work continues. For 50 years, NBCFAE has stood on the front lines of advocacy, mentorship, and leadership within aviation.

Never forget — we have a purpose, and we are living it.

Members of the HQ Region concluded Black History Month with a meaningful visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.

Walking through the museum serves as a powerful reminder that the story of African Americans is the story of perseverance, innovation, sacrifice, and progress. Each exhibit reflects the struggles that were overcome, the barriers that were broken, and the countless individuals whose courage and determination helped shape the nation we serve today.

As aviation professionals and public servants, moments like these allow us to pause, reflect, and honor the legacy of those who came before us—while recommitting ourselves to excellence, leadership, and opportunity for the generations that will follow.

Black history is not only a reflection of the past—it is a living legacy that continues to inspire our work and our mission every day. ✊🏾
