I hope my words reminded the graduates that success is not determined by where you start, but by your willingness to keep showing up, keep growing, and keep believing in what is possible.

Thankful for Head of School Sykes and the entire SEED team for helping these young scholars close one chapter and confidently step into the next.

Blessed to support my friend and mentor, Kweisi Mfume.

For decades, I have watched him fight for Baltimore, stand up for those without a voice, and answer the call to serve whenever our city needed him most. Leadership is not what you say—it is what you do over time. Congressman Mfume's record speaks for itself.

Grateful for his example and excited to support the next chapter of his service.

Blessed by my friend Keisha Blake and the I AM Me Project for the work they are doing at Reginald F. Lewis High School.

Had the opportunity to join the young scholars for Cuts & Conversations on the day of their prom, talking about State government, leadership, and the work happening in the 45th District.

The village was on full display. Barbers, mentors, and community leaders all pouring into our young people and reminding them they are seen, valued, and capable of greatness.

Enjoyed the opportunity to fellowship with The Presidents’ RoundTable and speak about the work happening in the 45th District around access to capital, homeownership, community assets, and partnership.

So many beautiful people in one room aligned around one goal — moving our communities forward with intention.

One of the highest honors of my life was delivering the commencement address to the 2026 Spring graduates at UMES.

I tried to be intentional with every word. Wrote… rewrote… reflected… and thought deeply about what I wish I understood after completing something monumental and giving four years of your life to a journey.

Thank you to President Anderson, the 300+ graduates, families, and staff for allowing me to share in such a meaningful moment. Truthfully… you all filled my cup.
