The Opposite of Anxiety: Peace

Anxiety often pulls us into a space of uncertainty, fear, and control, but the opposite of anxiety is peace—peace that comes from trusting in God’s perfect plan. When we stop trying to manage every detail, we make room for His peace to flow through us.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
— Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

Today, I choose peace over anxiety. I release control and rest in the assurance that God is in charge.

Scripture to Reflect On:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

Thought:
Today, I’m shifting my anxiety into reassurance. Every time worry tries to creep in, I will remind myself of God’s promise of peace. He holds all things in His hands, and in Him, I find rest.

As single parents, we juggle so much, and it’s easy to feel out of alignment. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Take a moment today to ask God to align your heart with His will for your family. Pray for peace, direction, and strength to raise your children according to His purpose.
