All this month we're celebrating walks along our local trails, parks, and outdoor spaces!

Work with your local parks department to protect access to trails and help develop infrastructure to build new trails and routes. Connect with your local parks and other outdoor areas to find opportunities to bring people together to be active and explore their resources.Contact us if you need help on how to do this!

August will be a fantastic month! More and More we're getting calls and messages from our Marylanders and Facebook fans on how they can help protect our natural resources, spread the word about walking and exercise, and even how they can do their part to combat climate change and make our state an even better place for our kids and their kids!

We couldn't be happier! Keep spreading the word and giving us feedback!!!

How to Help Seniors Stay Active

***TUESDAY TRUTHDAY!!***

On this #TuesdayTruthday, the question is "Is there an age where you should not exercise?"

The answer?: No, absolutely not. Exercise improves our mobility, brains, heart, endurance, and quick reflexes, to name a few.

Here's some great exercises and ideas for seniors. As always, before you undertake a physical routine, consult your doctor.

We encourage our seniors in Maryland and across the country and the world who are seeing this in their newsfeeds, to take a look at it and give it a try, and then let us know how it went. We LOVE feedback!!

Exercise is often harder to continue, but no less important, as you age. Read this interview for tips to help seniors prioritize their health and mobility.

All things start with one voice. One voice can become a hundred and more when we all come together. And what better reason than our own health!

So, c'mon Marylanders and all of our friends around the country let's make this a healthy, happy, and wonderful summer!!
