As a reminder - tonight at 6pm Mass DOT will be at Town Hall to discuss the Main Street resurfacing project.

RESENTATIVES FROM THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE TEWKSBURY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WILL BE PROVIDING INFORMATION TO RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS OWNERS RELATED TO THE UPCOMING ROADWAY RESURFACING PROJECT ON MAIN STREET BETWEEN NELSON AVENUE AND COLONIAL DRIVE. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.

Tewksbury’s Spring Town Clean Up is Saturday, May 7, 2022. Pick up bags and supplies from town hall starting at 9am and collect trash on roadways, parks, open spaces and fields until 2pm. Even an hour of time helps. Sign up to clean a specific spot or just show up and help where needed. Clean up day is a great way to earn community service hours.



As part of this spring’s event, Paper shredding and electronics recycling will be at the DPW from 9am-12 noon for Tewksbury residents and a Tewksbury Pantry donation item is requested for the service. A limit of 5 boxes per resident for shredding. Recycled electronic items include monitors, computers, hard drives, tablets, smart phones, printers, scanners, media such as tapes and DVDs. For folks looking for affordable housing, some new units have opened up on Main St in Tewksbury.

Having had several individuals I know and adore become homeless due to actions beyond their own, I understand that the security of a safe roof over your head is not guaranteed and, for many, is tenuous.

The creation of affordable units helps families stay here, helps single parents start again, helps young people settle and start a family. I’m grateful for these units and hopeful for the futures of those who eventually live in them.
