Over the past several months, I’ve been meeting with families, business owners, and community leaders across District 91 about the future of our region.

Today, I’m sharing more about why I’m running and what this campaign is focused on: lower income taxes, stronger small businesses, and real investment in rural communities.

District 91 has tremendous potential.

The best is yet to come, and I’m ready to go to work.

Merry Christmas from the Alexanders! 🎄

We’re soaking up time with family this week and reflecting on how blessed we are to be part of such a great community.

I’m excited to officially announce my candidacy for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 91 in 2026!

This decision comes from a deep love for our community and a desire to continue serving in a new way. I’m looking forward to the road ahead and the conversations we’ll share along the way.

Tuesday was a special night for Barnwell County as we honored three dedicated council members for their service and welcomed three new council members to the team! Chairman Houston presented resolutions to our outgoing members, recognizing their hard work and commitment to our community.

We also celebrated the swearing-in of our newest council members and I look forward to working with them as they bring fresh ideas and energy to our efforts in building a better Barnwell County.

I had the opportunity to personally thank Lieutenant Governor Pamela S. Evette for visiting our region and bringing Team South Carolina to help our citizens in Barnwell, Allendale, and Bamberg counties. We discussed how crucial it is for our residents to meet face-to-face with agencies that can provide direct assistance.

I also spoke with the various agencies at the event, and every one of them was eager to help our community recover and get the support they need. There are over 20 organizations here ready to assist with everything from insurance claims to healthcare, FEMA support, and more.

If you haven’t made it out yet, there’s still time! Stop by until 4:00 PM today at USC Salkehatchie, Allendale (West) Campus, 465 James Brandt Boulevard, Allendale, SC.

Took a minute this afternoon to show my girls the flags on the circle that have been displayed in remembrance of the lives lost on 9/11. It’s hard to explain something so tragic to kids, but I felt it was important for them to understand the significance of this day. The lessons of unity and resilience are ones we should never forget.

This morning, state and local officials gathered for the grand opening of the City of Barnwell Fire Station. The ceremony brought together members of the fire service, community leaders, and local residents to celebrate the hard work and collaboration that made this project a reality. This new fire station not only enhances emergency response capabilities but also stands as a symbol of the City of Barnwell's commitment to the safety and well-being of its residents.

Congratulations to everyone who played a part in bringing this vital asset to our community as we work together for a safer, stronger future.

I had a great meeting today with Andrew Hill, the manager of Walmart Barnwell. We discussed the exciting renovations currently underway, which will improve the store’s product selection and overall shopping experience. I’m grateful for Walmart’s continued investment in Barnwell County.

The store’s Re-Grand Opening is set for October 25th at 9 AM—mark your calendars and come celebrate!

We also explored opportunities for future collaborations between Walmart and Barnwell County, and I’m excited about the potential to work together for the benefit of our community.

Last night, the first of four Capital Project Sales Tax (CPST) informational meeting occurred in Blackville. These sessions are crucial for understanding what you're voting on in November. The CPST is an important initiative that allows Barnwell County to fund key projects, and attending these meetings gives residents a chance to ask questions and get answers directly from local leaders. As a group of mayors and councilmembers from across the county, we explained the CPST process, detailed the specific projects it will support, and answered questions from the community audience members.

Remaining CPST meetings are as follows:
Williston Town Hall – September 12th - 6:30 PM
Hilda Depot– September 19th - 6:30 PM
Barnwell County Library– October 3rd 6:30 PM
