REMINDER: Registration Fee Increase

For those of you that have not registered yet, this is simply a reminder that the registration fees for our 2026 4 Mile Trail Run and 1 Mile Walk event, which is now one of the best in Louisiana, increase at 12 midnight today. The runner registration fee increases by $10 to $40 and the walker registration fee increases by $10 to $35. This is the Trail Run and Walk's 10th anniversary and MITA is excited. You will see our ads on TV, hear them on radio, see them on Facebook, and see them in the Ouachita Citizen.

Hey Ya'll!

Just for fun, I included south Louisiana in our FB posts. Yesterday, we had 2 new runners. One is from Baton Rouge and one is from Opelousas. What fun they are going to have with "us red necks!" This is going to be the "BESTEST" one yet. Special thanks to all of you for all you have done to make our event one of the best trail runs in Louisiana.

📢 🎈 ♻️ The balloon release ban takes effect on August 1!

Beginning this Saturday, individuals who intentionally release 12 or more balloons outdoors in Louisiana will face penalities under our anti-littering statutes. Released balloons often end up as litter in our waterways, roads, and communities, harming wildlife and creating unnecessary pollution. To celebrate milestones or honor loved ones, consider alternatives like blowing bubbles or flying kites.
