HB833 is currently making its way through the legislative session. It passed the senate unanimously and is being sent to the Governor for signature. It creates a Sexual Assault Survivors Empowerment Task Force and calls for eight members, including a representative from the attorney generalโs office, one sexual assault survivor appointed by the nonprofit STAR, and a licensed clinical social worker appointed by the State Board of Social Work Examiners.
