It’s budget season. ➡️ No loss of state aid.💥Selling of assets💥Only district in the county that doesn’t offer universal prek.💥Not enough paras💥No late busses💥No classroom supply budgets 💥No Chromebooks for every student. ‼️Come June, the district will have plenty of funds for the CSA’s new contract.‼️ Please remind me again why school districts exist…
Property Tax Increase:

STR 11.4%
BCHWD 5.3%
PB 8.2%
Beachwood had the biggest increase last year; this year it’s STR’s and PB’s turn. Even if the BOE votes the budget down, it’s still submitted to the County Super. As the County Super, her job is to approve the balanced budget she is given. 📣 April 1st is the Citizens Budget Advisory meeting which is open to the public.

❄️ Donovan Catholic will be closed tomorrow Tuesday, February 24. We will continue with a virtual school day. ❄️

We are aware that there are several power outages throughout the area. Teachers will be flexible with the completion of work each day. If a teacher has not posted an assignment, please understand they may also be impacted by the storm. We ask for your patience and want you to know that accommodations will be made as needed.

Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom by 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. All assigned work should be completed by 9:00 p.m. tomorrow evening. This timeframe is intended to allow students to work at their own pace.
