Abandoned NJ

Abandoned NJ Abandoned NJ is a group-run page dedicated to documenting abandoned, vacant and decaying structures in and around the Garden State. | AbandonedNJ.com |

We are a group of friends who explore abandoned or interesting places in New Jersey and surrounding areas and bring you a showcase of photographs and videos. Abandoned NJ was originally created as a way for us to share our adventures with friends and family, and it quickly grew from there.

***For legal reasons, we are unable to publicly post where many of these places are specifically located. P

LEASE DO NOT ASK US FOR DIRECTIONS OR INFORMATION RELATING TO TRESPASSING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY.***

AbandonedNJ.com and our related webpages are for entertainment and education purposes only. We do not condone or promote engaging in illegal or dangerous activities. We also do not agree with theft or damaging property. With that in mind, we can not be held liable for the actions of others. However, if you do choose to explore locations on your own, we strongly encourage the proper use of safety equipment and common sense. Never go to a location alone or with people you are unfamiliar with. Always bring supplies necessary in the event of an emergency. Most importantly, please remember to respect others such as property owners and the police. Keep in mind that trespassing is ILLEGAL and you can face severe penalties such as large fines or jail time. Please remember that the police are only doing their jobs and we always advocate being polite and courteous if you ever have a confrontation with an authority figure. Many locations we visit are in various states of decay. Possible dangers of exploring abandoned locations include, but are not limited to, structural collapse, exposure to toxic substances such as asbestos or lead paint, possible injuries from broken glass or rusty nails, and the always present danger of running into an unfriendly person(s) who have taken up residence in an uninhabited location. While we appreciate those of you interested in joining us for explorations, at this time we are unable to accommodate the large number of requests we get. We encourage you to get out and explore on your own, but remember to always bring a trusted friend and use common sense!
