The Seafarers' Center of Beaumont does incredible work caring for the men and women who visit and work in our ports, and it was a privilege to spend the evening supporting their mission.

Being named their 2026 Honoree is truly a reflection of the dedicated deputies and staff at the Sheriff's Office who work tirelessly for our community every day. Thank you to the Seafarers' Center for this recognition and for everything you do for our region.

Great event great people!

I was honored to be the speaker for the IEA Camp Bright Star Closing Ceremony and Awards Luncheon.

Investing in our youth will always be a top priority. It was powerful to share a message with these kids about resilience, self-worth, and understanding that their broken pieces do not define their future. They are survivors.
Thank you to Inspire Encourage Achieve for creating environments where our youth can thrive.

I skipped an out-of-town conference to speak to the youth at IEA Camp Bright Star because our kids are worth it.

I crumpled up a $100 bill, stepped on it, and asked them what it was worth. The answer? Still $100. No matter how life steps on you, hurts you, or balls you up, your value never changes. You still matter.
My message to them was simple: don't wait until you are broken into a million pieces before you ask for help. Know your self-worth, and always do the right thing.
The work is never done, and there is still more to do.
