The new owners and operators, Greg and Sarah Rebello, are excited to carry forward the legacy of excellence while continuing to serve Southeast Texas with top-tier fire alarm, security, and access control services. r 20 years of experience in the fire alarm industry. He holds a NICET Level IV certification, is APS licensed, and possesses numerous additional certifications and credentials. With his deep expertise in fire alarm and security system installation and service, Greg is committed to delivering high-quality, reliable solutions to SBS clients. Sarah Rebello brings a strong background in fire alarm design and business operations. She is a licensed fire alarm technician with several years of experience designing code-compliant fire alarm systems. A former high school business teacher with a background in business education, Sarah oversees SBS’s business operations and supports day-to-day management. Greg and Sarah are committed to upholding the values of integrity, quality, and customer service that SBS has been known for over the past five decades. Their top priority is to maintain and build upon the high standards of fire alarm and security service that the Southeast Texas community has come to trust.

Our Story

In 1981 George and Betty Thornhill formed Southwest Building Systems. G. Thornhill Inc. dba Southwest Building Systems became incorporated in 1997 and is overseen by David Thornhill. In 2015 David became the CEO/President of SBS. Brent Thornhill, the 3rd generation of this company, joined the team in 2005. Brent currently holds the General Manager position as of 2019, and is excited to continue to propel SBS into the future.

Our team provides design, installation, service and inspections for Fire Alarm, Intercom, Sound, Security, Surveillance and Access Control Systems. Monitoring is available at a competitive price for both Fire Alarm and Security Systems.Sound System Rentals are available upon request.
