On Thursday, the Raleigh County Clerk’s Office had the privilege to be present at the West Virginia State Fair with the states first I Voted Sticker Contest winner, Reese Childers! She was interviewed by Secretary Warner, and even autographed their foam board sticker. We are still so very proud of Reese and thrilled to have Raleigh represented with this great honor!

The Raleigh County Clerk’s Office is gearing up for the 2026 General Election!

Now is the time to make sure your registration is up to date with the correct address, and make changes if needed. The last day to make changes, or get registered is October 13th.

We are now accepting absentee ballot applications for those who are not able to make it out to Early Vote, or on Election Day. You can request those applications from our Voter Registration Office. Ballots will start going in the mail beginning September 18th.

Early Voting begins October 21st, and runs through October 31st, including the 2 Saturdays. M-F 8:30a-4:30p, Saturday 9a-5p

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd from 6:30am-7:30pm.

Contact our office to sign up and be a Poll Worker in the upcoming General Election!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Tuesday is National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. Stop by the State Capitol to sign up to be an election worker or visit GoVoteWV.com to learn more. West Virginia needs more than 8,400 poll workers to help administer the November 3 General Election.

For the first time, high school juniors and seniors who are in good academic standing have the opportunity to participate directly in the election process. Poll workers are paid for both attending a training class and working the polls. Duties can include delivering election supplies to polling places, setting up voting rooms, verifying voter identities and registrations, greeting voters, issuing ballots, and securing the materials after polls close.

The Raleigh County Commission does hereby permanently CLOSE Precinct 29, New Life Assembly located at 12096 Coal River Road, Whitesville WV.

New registration cards, with your new polling location have been sent to voters affected by said change.

The Raleigh County Commission does hereby move Precinct 28 from Colcord Presbyterian Church, Upper Building, to Pentecostal Freedom Church at 7496 Clear Fork Road, Colcord WV.

New registration cards have been sent to voters affected by said change.
