Born from Adversity to Overcome It
First Baptist Church in Euless was $6 million in debt when they started praying for a miracle. They barely had enough money in the bank to keep the lights on for another month. But they prayed, all the same:
“Lord, is this of you?”
“What is my part?”
“Bless your people so that they can give generously.”
When the first million was paid, they set up a stone monument. They bought 5 more in faith.
When the entire debt was paid and 6 Stones stood in remembrance, one thing was clear: it was time to move forward. To serve the community. To build a Coalition of Churches, Businesses, City Governments, and other organizations that would meet the needs of the community.
9 years later, our nonprofit -- now independent of, but partnering with the church -- has restored over 600 local homes. Every year, 6,000 local students depend on us for school supplies. 4,500 more for Christmas. And some 14,000 individuals visit us every year for emergency food and clothing.
But those are just numbers. Come on board and we’ll show you something bigger.
Join the Coalition and help us Transform this community.
