ELECTION DAY IS THIS SATURDAY, MAY 2

These past couple of months have been filled with opportunities to meet members of our community and hear their perspectives on LTISD. I’ve truly enjoyed every conversation (and if you know me, that probably isn’t a surprise!) - even when people challenged me on topics that may fall outside the direct scope of the school board.

What these conversations have reinforced is that we have a passionate community that cares deeply about our public schools - whether or not they currently have students in our district.

These discussions have only strengthened my commitment to grow as your trustee. I’m ready to jump in on day one and quickly get up to speed on any topics beyond the current board agenda. I’m passionate about learning and, honestly, a bit of a nerd - I’ve already added several book recommendations from engaged community members to my reading list on topics like student mental and social health, technology, and more.

ELECTION DAY IS THIS SATURDAY, MAY 2

We are fortunate to have a diverse and passionate community. In the years ahead, as we open Highland Lakes High School, it’s critical that we listen to our educators and actively engage our families to make the best decisions possible. Our community brings many different perspectives to the table, and every voice deserves to be heard.

Opening a new high school will require thoughtful, deliberate collaboration between trustees, educators, and the community. My education and professional experience will help support this process by ensuring stakeholder input is considered while navigating large-scale change. From monitoring construction progress and budgets to supporting staffing decisions and building a strong foundation for future HLHS students, I’m committed to helping set our new school up for long-term success.

If you’ve been following my campaign, you’ve probably noticed I keep coming back to the same priorities. 💪☑️📋

That’s intentional.

Like many parents, I’m frustrated by politicians trying to reshape our children’s education without meaningfully partnering with educators or adequately funding our public schools.

My priorities are centered on students, teachers, and strong schools - not partisan politics.

As a school board trustee, I will advocate for our students and teachers while helping ensure our students develop the critical thinking skills, confidence, and preparation needed to thrive in the real world. 📣🤓🌟

Natalie and I had a great time this weekend waving and reminding voters of the current (HAPPENING NOW) election at Bee Cave City Hall. We got so many waves, honks, and smiles - it was truly energizing. 👋🚘😁

This morning was Rocket Day for our Cub Scouts, and it was such a joy to see our community come together to launch rockets into the sky. 🚀

One of the things I’ve appreciated most about scouting is the incredible families and community members we’ve met along the way. Many areas of focus for our cubs - family, community, citizenship, and service - are lessons that extend far beyond scouting activities, and ones I try to carry into my everyday life.

Grateful for days like this that remind us how strong communities are built: through connection, involvement, and investing in our kids.

State funding for Texas public schools hasn’t seen a meaningful increase since 2019. Districts receive just over $6,000 per student based on attendance, while the voucher program awards families $10,000 per student in public funds regardless of attendance. The math simply isn’t working, and our students deserve better.

Despite this imbalance, our district must remain focused on long-term financial stability. That means prioritizing the programs, systems, and resources that most directly impact student achievement and instructional quality, because every decision should start with what is best for students. As a trustee, I would ask thoughtful questions, carefully weigh trade-offs, listen to educators, ensure transparency throughout the process, and most importantly - advocate for our district. I’m ready to step into this role and ready to speak up for our students.

Today is World Book Day, and if you know me, you know how much I love reading. Growing up, I spent countless hours in the library with my nose in a book, and I love seeing students discover that same excitement and joy in reading. 📚♥️

That’s why it’s especially meaningful to be named a green highlighted candidate in the Book-Loving Texans’ Guide to the May 2026 School Board Elections. For details on how the guide was created, check out the link in the comments below.

Early voting is happening NOW through April 28 - please make a plan to vote early!

And don’t stop there: reach out to at least 5 friends or neighbors in LTISD and make sure they know this election is happening RIGHT NOW. Many community members without children currently in the district - or who aren’t active on social media - may not realize voting is already underway.
