Paul Dean has served as City Councilor for Ward 5 for many years. He and I have had many conversations about what it means to serve our community as a city councilor and how much he has enjoyed the work. I promised him that when he decided not to run again, I would step up!

I stopped by Eastside Garage to get my first signatures. Eastside Garage is the best for repairs, maintenance - and an emergency inspection when you realize yours has expired and your daughter needs your car to take her driving test! (true story)

I am an educator, small business owner, and Belfast enthusiast. I live and work in Belfast with my husband and our three children.

My family has always had a strong commitment to volunteerism and service to our community. When the kids were little, this meant being a volunteer soccer coach at the Waldo County YMCA. As they got older, I served on the Belfast Planning Board. I currently serve on the board of The Soap Closet, a non-profit organization.

Paul Dean (current City Councilor for Ward 5) and I have had many conversations about what it means to be a City Councilor and stepping up when it is “your turn”. I told him that when he decided his turn was done, I would step up. So here I am. I look forward to learning the ropes and representing my neighbors on the East side!
