!!! URGENT ACTION IN DOWNTOWN PORTLAND !!!
A scheduled protest at Susan Collins' office in Portland today at 12:00 PM has now been upgraded to a march from her office to Angus King's!

The original protest was to be a Senator Collins: Don't Shutdown Our Health Care Action protest (mobilize link: https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/868402/ ) to protest Republican attacks against healthcare. Now, we are also marching to Angus King's office to protest him joining a group of 8 Democratic caucus members caving to Republican demands for the mere promise of a future vote on extending ACA funding. This is a betrayal of working Americans who rely on the ACA to receive affordable healthcare!

Meet at 1 Canal Plaza, outside Susan Collins' office, and from there, we will march to 1 Pleasant Street, outside Angus King's office.

Join us to take action at Senator Collins's office in Portland and demand that she stand up for constituents and refuse to shutdown our health care! Republicans REFUSAL to negotiate by FORCING health care cuts will not only raise premiums for 20 million Americans who pay for their own Affordable Car...

Here in Maine, a Trump-supporting blogger was arrested for brandishing a weapon at protestors in Augusta. So far, we have received no reports of violence at any No Kings rallies or marches across the state.

Our hearts are swelling with all of the support and love our community showed today. Our estimates range from 1000-1400 attendees in Belfast for NO KINGS Belfast, ME! We'll try to get a final count after we get a chance to review the work of our volunteer photographers.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, to all of our volunteers, to all of the passionate speakers, singers, and poets who lent us their voices, to the ASL interpreters that donated their time and talents, to Ken for help with the sound system,
and to all of the activist groups who tabled and gave us actionable next steps to build this movement and fight for democracy against the abuses of the current regime.
