SETTING REASONABLE AND MEASURED EXPECTATIONS:
NEVER OVER PROMISE AND NEVER UNDER DELIVER

My experience serving on the Environmental Sustainability Board and the Building and Standards Commission has given me great insight into the roles of staff, boards and commissions and council members. I have taken time to talk to council members and the mayor and educate myself on what responsibilities and duties I would take on as your councilman at Position 4. I know both the limits of my powers, but also what I am able to do for the residents. Council sets the policies, votes on ordiances and approves the budget. I also know that I am one vote. One vote of seven members. My job will be to collaborate, bring my perspective - after having listened to the voices of all of you - to the table, deliberate and work for the best solutions for our city. I will always go the extra mile and work with staff on your behalf when I can because as I've stated before, public service is an opportunity not to be wasted.
