omorrow morning, Pastor Bill is going to be asking, “What Is Your Life Source”? A.W. Tozer wrote a book entitled, “ Delighting in God.” I am going to share a paragraph that I believe defines perfectly the Life Source of every Christian. Tozer wrote,” The human heart has a thirst for God. God created us, and something in us relates to something in God. Until these two are brought together, which happens at salvation, there is restlessness in the human heart that can never be stilled.” Do you see it? Our Life Source is the very One who created us! So, who did create us?? Well, Colossians 1:15,16 says, “The Son (Jesus Christ) is the image of the invisible God, the first born over creation. For in Him (Jesus) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible…” (The rest of that chapter is dynamite!!) I always need to read the instruction book for any new appliance, or kid’s toy, or new car!! Is there an instruction book that explains what our Life Source is as humans, and how to tap into it? Absolutely!! Come worship the Lord with us in the morning and leave empowered by a greater understanding of your Life Source and how to live a more power filled Christian life…

As I was reading over the sermon outline for tomorrow morning’s message about the “glory” of God’s presence with its grand finale in John 17:22, one thought consumes my thinking… The Glory of God is without a doubt the most pure, perfect, powerful, strong, beyond comprehension quality found on earth or in heaven. Despite that reality, we Christians, who are told that we a “joint heirs” with Jesus and “children of God” seem to focus our attention on all that is evil in the world, all that is wrong in our culture, or in our lives!! We are like Eeyore in The Hundred Acre Woods. We walk around with our heads down, melancholy, gloomy, cynical. Eeyore is described as wise, loyal and caring. The problem is Eeyore misses all that is beautiful and bright and worth cheering for in his life… As Christians, there seems to be a tendency to be so focused on all the warts of this fallen world that we rarely glimpse the Glory of God around us. We miss the Glory of God recorded on the pages of His word and even the Glory of God written on the faces of some of His saints. Look around. You will see it. Saints who have discovered the amazing words of John 17:22 applies to them can’t hide it!!! Come join us as we learn how to live in the reality of the glory of God tomorrow morning!! You may leave the service unable to hide His glory in your soul!!

Once Bill and I were driving around in the Smokey Mountains. We were off the typical tourist route and enjoying everything, until Bill noticed we were getting low on gas... We hadn't seen a gas station for hours. So, on with the GPS. We followed that man-made GPS religiously and it led right to the end of a two-lane road with only a dirt road ahead of us... It was already dusk and somehow, by the grace of God, because we were both praying, we made it back to civilization. We were running on fumes and never happier to see a little gas station!
That was one event in our lives... Some people try to do all of life following man-made directions and doing what seems right in their own eyes... Sometimes, they don't make it successfully out. Some come to a disastrous ending.
THANK GOD, HE DIDN'T LEAVE US HERE ON EARTH WITH NO DIRECTIONS. He has a plan for our lives as human beings and for each of us individually... IF YOU ARE trying to follow a man made plan for life, or if you want to be sure you understand the directions accurately, come learn and live with us tomorrow morning!!! GOD HAS A DESTINATION FOR US THAT WE DON'T WANT TO MISS...

It's almost impossible to listen to news without hearing a reference to "the Jewish people" or "the Nation of Israel." People have such strong opinions concerning what place, if any, the Jewish people and the modern Nation of Israel have in the future plan of God for ALL His born-again children. As a lay person, a person who seemingly has a million more urgent things on my mind, the future that 'matters to me most is mine, and it's about "God". It matters very much to me whether God can change His mind, or make a covenant and then break it... I know unredeemed mankind is acting out of a sin nature and capable of every form of heinous sin. What really matters is can I absolutely believe that every covenant and promise made by God will stand the test of time and eternity!!! Come tomorrow morning and join us in worshiping our "FAITHFUL "God! ✋🤚

Hope you will join us tomorrow morning to worship the Lord and share in communion!! What a great week of celebrating the 250th birthday of our nation. Bill will be speaking on the impact of the “Great Awakening!”. He loves the history of the Great Awakening. A time when the powerful impact of the Holy Spirit through the principles of individual repentance and personal responsibility changed the lives of men and women, families, communities and ultimately forged the foundation of a new nation. Those principles are just a powerful to change the souls of men and women and influence our culture today! What God did in the past, He is more than able to do again! Come learn and live with us in the morning!!

"I pray that your love will keep growing because of your knowledge and insight. That you will be able to determine what is best and pure and blameless until the day of Christ." This sounds like a great prayer! Probably the kind of prayer lots of Sunday only Christians might see on Facebook and post... BUT SERIOUSLY! The Apostle Paul prayed this prayer for the Philippians Christians and actually for you and I! When I read it, the first thing I ask is "How do I grow and KEEP ON growing? A lot hinges on my growing in knowledge! I increase in LOVE and knowledge of how to make the best life choices. (See Phil. 1:9,10) There are so many scriptures that admonish us to continue growing in our Christian life. The rewards are all the blessing of faith and fellowship the Lord wants for us, and the lack of growth leads to loss. If you really do want to get the full picture and be on the path to growing up in Christ, come join us tomorrow morning and begin your very own GROWTH SPURT!!
