Comm 1 is proud to partner with Aureon in awarding an Aureon Charity Grant to the Luick Memorial Swimming Pool.

The City of Belmond has received the first $100,000 installment of the pledge to the Pool Project from the Chester P. Luick Memorial Trust.

This grant is given in honor of Chester P. Luick, George F. Heginger, Edwin A. Schmalle, Lilian F. & Dr. Alan M. Nelson, Cecil & George Coburn, and Merle C. And Doris Been.

Many thanks to the trustees of Trust for committing to this project! What a commitment to Belmond and its residents! 💙🩵💛🧡

The progress on the pool is amazing!! It’s starting to take shape! An unseasonably dry spring has helped fast progress of the construction.

Demolition progress: the bath house is partway down. There will be a new bathhouse constructed, with exterior park-facing bathrooms on the north side of the building, and a built-in snack shack area to the east. The new pool is set to open May 2027!
