Not every shift is spent chasing bad guys.

After this mornings storm rolled through Belton, officers spent part of their day helping with downed trees, blocked roadways, and other hazards to keep our community safe. While police work often brings to mind arrests and flashing lights, sometimes the job is as simple as making sure your family can get home safely.

Some officers run on coffee. Some run on adrenaline. And some run on donuts.

Today we’re celebrating the sweet fuel that has powered countless patrol shifts, early mornings, and late night calls.

A huge thank you to for making our day better one donut at a time!

Belton officers assisted Temple Police Academy Class 2026-A this week with investigative training, including interviews, crime scene sketching, and fingerprint processing.

The week included a mock crime scene where cadets processed evidence, wrote reports, and testified on their findings.

Thanks to Temple College Official Page for allowing Belton to be apart of this learning experience.

Today, officers with the Belton Police Officers Association were proud to participate in Rucks on Main in downtown Temple, honoring Veterans, Fallen Heroes, and First Responders.

Participants completed a 6-mile ruck while carrying donated food items to support local organizations in need. We’re honored to stand with our community in remembering sacrifice and supporting others.

Behind every badge is a human being.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we recognize the strength it takes for first responders to keep showing up through the long nights, hard calls, and unseen battles.

Check on your people. Have each other’s backs. Asking for help is strength, not weakness.
