Please Vote!! You will not see my name on the ballot this year as I moved outside of Bend City limits. But, we do have some great candidates that deserve support and a chance to serve our community. I can't stress how strongly I believe we need to reestablish balance in our elected positions. This is not a partisan post, it's an appeal to reasonable, sound minded, caring members of our community. A super majority in any position leaves a vast number of our population under represented and disenfranchised. We live in a diverse society where all voices have value. Please consider setting aside party politics and let's raise up new voices on the local and state level.

I'm running for office to be a voice for our community, and that starts with Listening - - novel thought, huh? Throughout my campaign I have had the opportunity to connect with local residents from all walks of life; differing social, economic, political and cultural backgrounds. I have posed the same question over a Thousand times now, "What are your biggest concerns for Bend?" Then I shut up and listened - to the Real concerns from Real residents, Right Now. Here's what our community is talking about.

Bend is facing Real problems, that require Real solutions -- Real Quick! This election will direct the course Bend takes in future development. We can plan for strategic growth that recognizes the many varying needs of our community. Or, we can sacrifice the character of our town to high rise buildings and high density. Let's choose common sense solutions over partisan policies. Let's protect the best of Bend.

Big shout out to my friends at Bend Roasting Company! It's businesses like this that truly make Bend great. A couple days ago they reached out and asked if they could show support by creating a custom blend for my campaign - A Bold Medium Roast they've named "Sippin' for Sipe." I appreciate their support!

In council I will be BOLD in representing the voices of our local businesses, while serving as that equal Medium that can bring our community together.

Whether you've followed politics your whole life, just recently realized the system is seriously out of whack or find yourself somewhere in between; this is a great opportunity to hear from and support a couple local guys who are stepping up to rebalance the scales at the State level and here in our City. As you see these pop up around town, know that they are a statement in support of the "Best of Bend." When elected to serve on City Council I will stand with the small businesses that make our town great. I am pro-business and will advocate for you. I will stand for our Community in promoting a safer town, and help clean up our streets. I will stand for the residents that believe common sense beats bureaucracy and political agenda, and I will assure those voices are heard. I believe it's not too late to bring back the Best of Bend! If you'd like to show your support, message me and I'll drop by as many posters, stickers and signs as you have places to put them. Let's make this statement together.

What's it take to donate over $1M to local charities? Planning, community support, a Lot of volunteers and an absolute TRUCK load of Ducks! Tomorrow is the Great Drake Park Duck Race. I look forward to this every year. The fun starts at 11am and the race kicks off at 1:30. Hope to see you there!
