A FB post does this day no justice, none the less the absence of one seems callous. The Best outcome I can hope for is that it adds one more reminder to all who read this post of the gravity and importance of this day. And in doing so, that it would motivate us to honor the fallen with an added unplanned act of kindness towards those service men and women who are still with us and/or the families of the fallen. God Bless America! We honor our fallen brothers and sisters.

PORTLAND PARENTS and Beyond — WE NEED YOUR VOICE

Our public schools should educate, not advocate.

Right now, Portland Public Schools buildings display political flags and ideological symbols. At the same time, district leadership is sending letters about walkouts, protests, and “families impacted by federal policy.”

This is not neutral education. It is institutional activism.

We have created a petition calling for a simple standard:

No political flags.
No partisan advocacy.
No ideological branding in public school buildings.

If a symbol represents a political movement, party, or policy position, it does not belong in a taxpayer-funded classroom.

Public schools should be places where children learn how to think, not what to think.

If you agree that schools should return to neutrality, please sign and share.

Whether you lean left, right, or somewhere in between, this affects every family.

If you havent had a chance to meet David Medina yet, here is your chance. He'll be back in Bend on Friday. David is a great guy w vision, insight, and probably the best at engaging w all types from supporters to the most vile of haters. It is worth your while to take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions and get to know him. Ill be there as well.

SHARE! Great event coming up. Every age welcome. Tell your teens and college age folks. Support the group and these awesome young people. Help strengthen their resolve to stand up for their values. Let them see they are supported and protected. Im adding the counter response to their activity. The PK are a wicked stain on central Oregon's fabric. They come up w the lamest lies and spins; its laughable.
