ahoy maties ! one of the reasons I came to china is that I did not want to spend the rest of my life surfing facebook and watching 48 hours re runs . now Im in china surfing facebook and watching 48 hours re runs . this morning the loudest alarm I have ever heard went off . I have no idea what the deal was . it sounded city wide . after lunch me and arnel walked south on campus a few blocks to see the brand new , just opened dorms , 10 stories high , right on the canal , very nice . class's are going great . 85% female , they seem to be sophmores and english majors . the relationship between a young woman and a smart phone is unlike any other relationship that I have ever witnessed . I am teaching my class's about environmentalism , the united nations , the international monetary fund , female reproductive rights , and world war one and two . so , its all about stuff I like to talk about . sometimes I whistle in class , which freaks everyone out . me and my students have an unspoken agreement , we start class five minutes early and take a short break and you can leave ten minutes early . gunna try to figure out how to put stuff on my flash drive and then onto the students monitors . I asked my boss what grade I give to someone who just can not speak english . the answer . a D . got it . have replaced the baseball hat with the hair rubber band thing . was the judge at an english speaking contest the other night . one girl had the p.a. malfunction for the whole speech . what a drag . going to speak to new students monday at 6:30 am . sunday my super group the cowboyz has an audition with some person and we are going to make a new video for our new song " a wine that tastes AHHH " . thats arnels song that is a funny , if long , story . I had a dream about chewing to***co . the weather is now great . turtle seems ok , which is odd because I dont think turtle is eating . there are loud speakers here , small ones that come out of shops yapping about whats in the shop , and big ones here at the college , which bug me , because they play music , which is ok , but then the go into this propaganda thing that I dont understand and I dont like . got an email from a guy offering me 50,000 $ a year to teach english in dubai . so that may be my leverage in april negotiations . I tell all my students that we can talk about anything they want at any time . I tell them that all they have to do is raise thier hand and say they want to talk about something and then we will talk about that . so if they get bored talking about the stuff we are talking about its not my fault . I also tell my students that I want them to talk loud and I want all of them to talk every class . one of my students started flirting with me after class , so we walked out of the building into the big square during this event and like a hundred chinese people were looking at me and this student of mine who was flirting with me , and asking me where I lived and if I lived alone and stuff . so , I was like , yeah , right on , and walked off in the opposite direction . I think some of the teachers are flirting with me to , like during the english competition the teacher I was sitting next to kept writing me notes . I should probably pretend Im gay . we have october first to october seventh off for some kind of holiday . if you ever need something to do go to wikipedia and search dark matter or dark energy . I am now in round two of my russian chess tournament and round one of my new chess tournament . china , no dragons but plenty of dragon flys . cwb san out
