🔥 Fire Academy Extrication Training 🔥

Our recruits had an incredible day learning vital extrication techniques! A huge thank you to Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Dowagiac Fire Department, Pokagon Volunteer Fire Department, and Sepsa Fire Authority for providing apparatus, equipment, and top-notch instructors for each group.

A special shoutout to Indian Lake Fire for hosting this hands-on training and to Barry’s Towing for generously providing the vehicles and lunch for our recruits. Your support helps ensure our future firefighters are prepared for real-world emergencies!

Yesterday, the academy held training sessions focused on search and rescue techniques. The recruits participated in multiple sessions, including standard searches, oriented searches, and OVEIS. They did an excellent job enduring a long, cold day of searching!

A big thank you to all the instructors who came out to help guide the students through multiple repetitions!

Today the fire academy got trained on extrication techniques. A huge thank you to Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department for hosting. Dowagiac Fire Department and Sepsa Fire Authority for bringing instructors, trucks and equipment. Last thank you to Barry’s Automotive for providing the cars.

Due to Indian Lake having buses from a class they hosted in December the students were also able to go over school bus extrication!
