Today is the day that Gabe was killed in Afghanistan, in 2018. One year later, we chartered our Berthoud VFW Post 12189 - SPC Gabriel David Conde Memorial to memorialize his service and sacrifice…

It was great to do a formal dedication of the SPC Gabriel David Conde Memorial Highway signs on Friday. Thank you Berthoud Weekly Surveyor for being there to capture the event. The portion of Hwy 287 from Loveland to Longmont was dedicated to memorialize Gabe and his sacrifice for freedom. This highway intersects with the portion of Hwy 56 in Berthoud that was dedicated to memorialize the sacrifice of another Berthoud Hometown Hero, SSG Justin Bauer. We are so fortunate to have these heroes’ intersection in our town to inspire us to live our best life and serve others over ourselves. We need to live a life worthy of their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of so many more.
