We’re so excited to officially welcome The Peppered Table to the Chamber. This beautiful space, founded by Teresa Saenz, a proud veteran and passionate food lover! is all about bringing people together through food, creativity, and learning.

Teresa is on a mission to create more than just meals—she’s creating experiences. From cooking classes and knife skills to intimate private dinners and Latin fusion catering, her vision is to teach, inspire, and share her love of food with the Berwyn community.

Her savory brilliance is already shining through, and we can’t wait for you all to experience the incredible dishes and moments being created at this table.

Gail and I were saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stickney Mayor Jeff Walik. Jeff was more than just a fellow mayor; he was a dedicated public servant who supported his community.
Before he led the Village of Stickney as Mayor since 2017, Jeff served as a Stickney Police Officer for 15 years. His transition from wearing the badge to holding the gavel was a testament to his commitment to service. He was a man of integrity, a mentor to many, and a friend to the near-west suburbs.
On behalf of the City of Berwyn and the Lovero Family, I want to extend my deepest condolences to the Walik family, the Village of Stickney, and the Stickney Police Department. We stand with you in this difficult time as we honor the legacy of a man who gave so much to the Village he loved.
Rest in peace, Mayor Walik. Your watch has ended, but your impact on our region will live on.

It was an honor to toss out the first pitch today. Seeing the fields packed with our young athletes, dedicated coaches, and their families reminds me why we invest so much in our community parks. Good luck to all the teams this season— have fun!🧢🏆

I was proud to join City of Berwyn Treasurer Lizbeth Linares-Herrera, Berwyn Treasurer at the Pink Owl on Wednesday night for an informative and educational conversation with our community on how to grow and invest money with clarity and confidence. Way to go Libby! Can’t wait for the next one.
