(Berwyn, IL) โ On Thursday, June 11, 2026, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Berwyn Police officers responded to the area of Harlem Avenue and Ogden Avenue for a report of a serious traffic crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located a pedestrian who had been struck by an SUV and was later pronounced deceased. Details regarding the victim are being withheld at this time pending proper notification of their family.
The offending vehicle did not stop at the scene and was last seen traveling southbound on Harlem Avenue. The crash remains under active investigation by the Berwyn Police Department. The area of Harlem Avenue and Ogden Avenue currently remains closed while officers continue their investigation. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.
