The results of the Moravian prayer meeting can be measured in at least three ways. First, a prayer meeting that lasts 100 years is a success by any standard! Next, the Moravians (the praying community at Herrnhut) sent out foreign missionaries almost 70 years before William Carey launched the modern mission movement. Finally, consider the advancement of Christianity during that 100-year period. That era saw some of the most significant developments in Christian history. (from the book City of Prayer)
