A volunteer, non-profit ambulance service protecting the Town of Chenango, NY and neighboring communities. Prior to 1976, ambulance service in the Town of Chenango was provided by the Broome County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Department disbanned the ambulance and severa

l new ambulance squads were formed. The squad operated until 1986 when it merged with the Chenango Fire Company. In 1987, the EMS service became one of the few in the area to offer Advanced Life Support using a 100% volunteer force. In late 2003, it was decided that the ambulance should once again become an independent entity. In January 2005, the Chenango Ambulance Services, Inc. answered its first call. Other EMS agencies around the area were so impressed with Chenango Ambulance, that the company received awards for Agency of the Year in 2005 and again in 2007. Since then, the ambulance has continued to grow and expand by leaps and bounds. In 2007, our first brand new custom ambulance was purchased. In 2014, CAS moved into a brand new ambulance station after outgrowing our previous home.

🏈🏒 Fall Sports & Protocol Updates Training! 🚑⚡
With football and hockey seasons kicking off, our crew spent this week focusing on sports-related injury management! From helmet removal and spinal motion restriction to proper pads-on handling, we practiced real-world scenarios—including treating players in full hockey gear to make sure we're completely prepped for ice and field emergencies.

We also covered the latest New York State EMS protocol updates to keep our clinical care as sharp and effective as possible.

A big shoutout to our dedicated providers and students for putting in the work to keep our community safe this season!

The memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church (located at 72 Main St, Binghamton, NY 13905). Family will receive guests starting at 1:00 PM, with the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
