Harvard Class of 2026.
What a journey it has been.
When I began this journey, I wasn’t a traditional student. I was balancing work, community commitments, campaigns, volunteer projects, and the responsibilities that come with building a career and serving a community. More than once, I found myself wondering, “Can I really do this?”
The answer wasn’t found in any single class, paper, or exam. It was found in showing up. Attending classes after long days. Completing assignments late at night. Taking one course at a time and trusting that small steps would eventually lead me to the finish line.
There were moments when life pulled me in a dozen different directions, but I never lost sight of the goal.
One of the things I appreciated most about my experience at the Harvard Extension School was the opportunity to learn not only from exceptional professors, but from classmates whose professional and life experiences enriched every discussion. The diversity of perspectives in the classroom made the experience especially rewarding and reminded me that learning is not limited by age, profession, or circumstance.
This journey was filled with challenges, setbacks, victories, and growth. Most importantly, it was filled with people who believed in me. My family, friends, classmates, professors, mentors, and colleagues encouraged me when I needed it most, and I am deeply grateful for their support.
This degree represents more than an education. It represents perseverance, sacrifice, and the belief that it is never too late to pursue a goal that matters to you.
While I am proud of this accomplishment, I am even more excited for what comes next and for the opportunities ahead to continue learning, serving, and making a difference.
