Today, I was proud to join the ribbon cutting celebrating 6 new homeowners in the Wahouma community. This represents a full circle moment for me, as this project was one of the first to com me across my desk as a new city councilor.

Thank you to Habitat for Humanity, the City of Birmingham Community Development team, the Birmingham Land Bank, and Mayor Randall Woodfin for supporting this important work. Thank you to Serious Injury Lawyers for the incredible partnership in giving turkeys away to our community members.

Lastly, thank you to the newest residents in this neighborhood. We are so excited - and most of all grateful - to welcome you!
