Labor Day is right around the corner, and we’re getting ready to celebrate with a good meal at Firehouse Shelter!

Our kitchen depends on food donations from our amazing community, and we could use your help stocking up for the holiday. If you’re heading to the grocery store this week, consider picking up a few extra items for Firehouse!

Here’s what we’re looking for:
- hamburgers/beef
- hamburger buns
- hot dogs
- hot dog buns
- chips
- tea/lemonade/soda
- cookies/brownies

Every donation helps us put a hot meal on the table for the men we serve!

We are so grateful for community partners who believe in giving back!

On August 6, we had the honor of attending the Grand Re-Opening Celebration of the historic Tutwiler Hotel, now a DoubleTree by Hilton property.

As part of the celebration, the Tutwiler and A&R Group presented Firehouse Ministries with a $1,000 general shelter donation! Their desire to give back to the Birmingham community and support our guests means so much to us.

A special thank you to Chris Townsley, General Manager of the Tutwiler, and the entire Tutwiler and A&R Group team for their generosity and partnership. We are grateful to have you in our corner!

Summer's dog days are here, and so is the need. Right now, Firehouse Ministries is collecting jeans, backpacks, and white crew socks for the men in our shelter. These aren't luxuries - they're the basics that help a man show up to a job interview, carry his belongings with dignity, and keep his feet healthy through an Alabama summer.
