Last night we had the opportunity to hold a 2hr session at the 2021 Canine Search and Recovery Seminar in Jacksons Gap AL!

IAG recognize the importance of the volunteer canine handler and their partner when it comes to a missing person. Canine S&R teams in our communities are an invaluable resource for first responder agencies.

These teams do not get paid. They have a true passion for being part of the mission and for that we are very grateful!

Please reach out to them when you get "that" call!

Interaction Advisory Group wants to thank Mountain Brook Police Chief Ted Cook for committing to having his officers trained in the area of safe interactions with Autism and Developmental Disability.

This entire week we will be joined by members of the Alabama Association of the Deaf along with autism self advocates! Not only will officers be learning about autism/developmental disability, they will also gain the perspective of a Deaf person to help them understand more about best/safest ways to interact. Self Advocates truly enrich our training programs and we are committed to helping them become more empowered!!

We also would like to thank Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind for providing interpreters this week.

Interaction Advisory Group Announces Addition to Advisory Board

School Psychologist to Bring Education Perspective and Expertise in Advisory Role

Birmingham, Alabama – July 8, 2021 – Interaction Advisory Group, LLC (IAG) today announced the addition of Ameet Bosmia, Ed. S, NCSP to its Advisory Board.

The board which consists of thought leaders, self-advocates and first responders continues to play an important role in advising the company on future curriculum development, ideas of impactful community engagement activities and offer thoughts on a myriad of topics. “Adding a current school psychologist to our Advisory Board is exciting news for IAG. As the company continues to grow, we see the need for unique and different perspectives to advise our company on the current needs across the community,” said Dustin Chandler, President and Co-Founder of IAG. “Mr. Bosmia not only brings an important perspective, but he also has the necessary knowledge to assist IAG in new curriculum development.”

IAG continues to be a nationwide leader in autism and developmental disability training and is also exploring the growing need for understanding emotional and behavioral conditions in different professions. Bosmia will leverage his expertise for possible curriculum development and assisting the company in exploring future opportunities.

“Interaction Advisory Group has created a user-friendly framework, grounded in evidence based practices. This framework both equips and builds capacity amongst trainees across multiple types of professions and professional environments, including schools, hospitals and police departments, on how to interact with individuals with a range of disabilities that maintains both their safety and dignity.” stated Bosmia. “I am honored to join the advocacy efforts put forth by both IAG and its Advisory Board.”

You can now add emergency contact information to your driver’s license record

ALABAMA Residents:

You can now add an EMERGENCY CONTACT to your drivers license or state issued ID card.

This could be very helpful in emergency situations where a loved one needs to be contacted.

While we hope law enforcement training will lead to officers using this function in case they are interacting with loved ones with autism or other developmental disabilities, we think this is a good start connecting caregiver with a loved one in certain situations.

Complete Form Here:

As part of the Emergency Notification Law, you can add emergency contact numbers to your ID record for law enforcement to use if you’re in trouble.
