Second topic I'm interested in feedback on solar projects in McLean County. Been a push to expand residential over past few years that really just impacts owners, neighbors, and maybe HOAs. But what if we start converting more of our farmland into large solar sites? We're sitting in the middle of the most productive farm ground in the country (likely world as well) so it seems in our best interest to leverage that asset for its strength. We can still do solar, but can't we limit to on buildings and non-tillable ground? It's a fine line between individual owner rights to determine how to utilize their property vs. long-term interests of the community/country as there's only a limited amount of highly productive farm ground. Likely plenty of farmers willing to buy the ground to keep it used for agriculture. So what are your thoughts on this issue?
