Stay weather alert today folks and remember to have ways of receiving emergency alerts.

⚠️ Severe Weather Update for Wednesday ⚠️

Today remains a day to stay weather aware across Allen County and the surrounding area.

While a few storms are possible earlier in the day, the main severe weather threat is expected between 5:00 PM and Midnight EDT. Our entire area is currently included in an Enhanced Risk (Level 3 of 5) for severe thunderstorms.

Potential hazards include:
🌬️ Damaging winds in excess of 70 mph
🧊 Large hail
🌪️ Tornadoes
🌧️ Flooding from heavy rainfall

Now is the time to prepare. Review your severe weather plan, make sure your devices are charged, and ensure you have multiple ways to receive warnings.

🚨 Remember: Outdoor warning sirens are activated for tornado warnings and are intended to alert people who are outdoors to seek additional weather information and shelter. Sirens should not be relied upon as your primary method of receiving warnings while indoors.

It’s a beautiful day to visit the local farmers market! Our crew spent the morning giving ambulance tours to families and picked up our first bag of peaches for the season!

You are cordially invited to an open house. June 13th from 12p-3p our station will be open to the public. We have worked hard over the past year and a half to transform our building into a space that can now be used for full time operations and we are excited to share this with the community. The cold weather didn’t deter the crowd who showed up last weekend for Bluffton’s Annual Fishing Derby. We’re so thankful to be included in this event each year. The crew had a chance to visit with many community members and was accompanied by our newest volunteer, 10 week old Rusty. We also has a visit from the friendliest village park goose!
