James Bonner Writer/Author

James Bonner Writer/Author I believe that fiction inspires and provokes people, it allows for a more developed imagination which will help to create a society and a community...

James was born November 24, 1984 in northern California, on Mather Air Force Base just east of Sacramento. He is the son of Shawn Bonner, the marketing director of SONRI.corp, and (Capt.) Stephen Howard Bonner, the founder and president of SONRI.corp. James and his mother lived in the Carolina’s for a short time with his maternal grandfather while his father made preparations at his new station ou

tside of Tokyo, Japan at Yokota Air Base for them (James and his mother, Shawn) to follow. While in Japan James’ sister Katherine Bonner was born (July 22, 1986). The family, after leaving Japan, went back to Mather (Sacramento) where James and his sister started school. The summer before James would begin second grade the family moved to Abilene, Texas for a year then again to Boerne, Texas (a small town north of San Antonio) where his paternal grandparents lived in order to help care of his grandmother who was suffering from ALS. After she died James and his family moved in with his grandfather, while James and his sister, Katy, attended and would later graduate from Boerne High School, and later he would study Psychology at UTSA. The year his grandfather passed James got the itch to pack his Civic with whatever he could and drove west down I-10. He lived briefly in Pocatello, Idaho--worked the graveyard shift at a potato processing plant--before being offered a management position at a Hastings in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The itch continued to expand and he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for a short time until making his way to New York City, New York where he worked as a freelance writer and supervised a Barnes&Noble on the Upper East Side. Currently James is living in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he has managed the social media, blogging, photography and marketing at an art gallery along Canyon Road, a large consignment shop off of Guadalupe, and worked as a check-out ‘boy’ in a grocery store. Obviously he continues to develop his love for the craft of writing.
