The Bogota FOP Lodge 161 St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser T-Shirts are now available! T-Shirts are $25 each and available with the dispatcher at Bogota Police Headquarters. You can also reach out to any of our members directly.

Fundraisers like this allow us to continue our goal to help our community such as providing scholarships and help fund our junior police academy and annual toy drive.

Today Larch Avenue will be shut down from West Main Street into Teaneck from 3:30p-7:00p. There will be crossing guards in the area to assist and keep everyone safe.

While collecting all those treats, please be careful! Make sure you wear visible clothing, especially as it gets darker.

For all the hungry parents and kids, we will be selling hot dogs and hot chocolate near the corner of Larch Avenue and West Broad Street. Stop by and help support the Bogota Junior Polive Academy.

We can’t wait to see all the costumes tonight!

The Bogota Fraternal Order of Police and the Bogota Junior Police Academy are fundraising with these Halloween t-shirts. We have a limited amount so grab yours today!

I’m very excited to start up Class 03 on July 18, 2025. As we get closer I want to remind the parents drop off is 7:30am on the Orchard Terrace side of Steen School. All cadets should be well rested, have a nutritious light breakfast each day and bring their lunch. Parents should check their email throughout the academy for updates and important information.

I look forward to seeing your children achieve new goals while striving to be contributing members of our community. As always, the entire staff has been working diligently to create a fun and safe environment for your children.

Please make sure you tell all your family members and friends that graduation will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2025 6:00pm at Steen School. I look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of each cadet.

Class 03 applications are officially out!!! We want to remind all applicants the deadline is Friday May 16 at 5pm. All applications can be returned to the Bogota Police Department.

We are accepting donations to sponsor a cadet. This entire program is funded through a $300 registration fee and donations made by individuals and businesses. We want to thank all of our donors that keep this elite program available to all of our families, regardless of financial burdens they may face.

We look forward to the announcement of those selected for class 03!

Today Detective LaFerrera and Officer Hondros will be visiting our future cadets for Class 03. Applications will be handed out and are due by May 16, 2025 at 5pm. We look forward to another successful class of highly motivated individuals.

We are pleased to announce that Class 03 will take place from July 18 to 30, 2025. Applications will be available at our schools in early May. Applicants must be entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. We will accept a limited number of cadets to ensure a personalized experience.

We want to remind everyone to have a SAFE and fun Halloween tomorrow. All pedestrians should cross streets at marked crosswalks and wear reflective clothing. Larch Avenue will be closed tomorrow from 3:30p-6:30p to ensure a safe environment for our kids to trick-or-treat.

The Bogota Junior Police Academy will be fundraising by selling hot dogs and water for that perfect boost of energy to collect as much candy as possible. We’ll be located next to Borough Hall.

Graduation is here! Our cadets have accomplished quite a lot over the past 8 training days. Along with classroom topics not normally covered throughout the school year, the cadets went rock climbing, indoor sky diving, and learned to SCUBA dive. They had hands on training with the Bogota Rescue Squad utilizing the Jaws of Life and the Bogota Fire Department practicing with the fire hoses on each other. They learned self defense tactics and proper physical training techniques to keep them physically strong. The New Jersey State Police and local EMS Departments showed off their equipment, including a helicopter landing in Olsen Park.

Tonight we celebrate all the cadet’s achievements at the Bogota High School gymnasium at 7pm. Please come out and show your support for everything our cadets have accomplished.
