We are so blessed by the generosity of our community!
River of Life Baptist Church Women's Ministry selected our Guardian ad Litem volunteers, alongside DSS, as their September outreach project.
Our volunteers give so generously of their time, heart, and passion to advocate for children who are navigating some of life's most difficult situations. Knowing that our community sees, supports, and appreciates the work they do means so much.

Set up for success...
Last Sunday, 195 backpacks were filled with school supplies for Brunswick County youth!
Thanks to the incredible support of WAVES for k.i.d.s, our children get to start the school year with the supplies they need to feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn.
It's always fun to work side by side with WAVES & DSS to fill bags and hearts with hope & happiness.

National Night Out in Columbus County was a family-friendly event where D15 Supervisor Randy and his family recruited and educated the community about GAL. Big thanks to Caitlyn and Cameron for helping us out!

Special thanks to our friends at River of Life Baptist Church for kicking off their ServeNC initiative with a powerful call to action.
Sunday's message focused on serving others by partnering with local agencies to meet the needs of our community.
It was a privilege to recruit alongside my DSS colleague, sharing information about our programs and the ways in which volunteers & foster families can impact the lives of children.
We are grateful for our churches and all who feel called to support our community.

North Carolina Guardian ad Litem (GAL) equips community volunteers to serve abused and neglected children by advocating for their best interests in court. Volunteers are adults who come from diverse communities, cultures, and life/work experiences. Yesterday the Brunswick GAL office hosted a Court Team Connections Potluck Luncheon. A special thank you to our Judge, who never misses an opportunity to foster fellowship, collaboration, and camaraderie among our court team.
We truly enjoyed spending time together, sharing a meal, exchanging ideas, and discussing ways we can continue to grow stronger as a team. Looking forward to the next one.
