📚🐾 **HANDBOOK HIGHLIGHTS: ATTENDANCE MATTERS!** 🐾
Bulldog families, regular attendance is one of the most important factors in student success! Every day at school is another opportunity for our Bulldogs to **learn, grow, connect, and succeed.** ❤️🖤
As we begin a great school year, please keep these important attendance reminders in mind:
⏰ Half-Day Requirement: Students must be present for at least one-half of the instructional day to be counted present. Lunch is not considered instructional time.
📝 Absence Notes: When your child returns after an absence, please send a doctor’s note or parent/guardian note within 3 school days explaining the reason for the absence.
✏️ Parent Notes: Families may submit up to six handwritten parent notes** during the school year. After six handwritten notes, a **doctor’s note will be required** for future absences.
👥 **Attendance Meetings:** If a student accumulates 6 unexcused or 10 excused absences, the school will schedule an attendance meeting with the family to develop a plan to improve attendance.
⚠️ Truancy:10 unexcused absences becomes truancy.
📅 Don’t Forget the Note! If documentation is not received within 3 days, the absence will be marked *unexcused*.
