Constitution Day 2026

Join us as guest speaker Jared Schroeder, Lee Hills Endowed Chair in Free-Press Studies presents
“Current Threats to the First Amendment.”
6:30 pm, Boone County Government Center, Commission Chambers

This presentation is the annual Holly Burgess Public Policy Forum, named in honor of Burgess, who was a member of both the League and the AAUW.

The event is cosponsored by the League of Women Voters of Columbia-Boone County, the AAUW-Columbia Branch, and the Mid-Missouri Civil Liberties Association.

National Constitution Day is observed September 17 each year to commemorate the September 17, 1787 signing of the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia.

The event is free and open to the public.
