The last opportunity for the VFW Post 4877 Raffle tickets will be tomorrow November 8th at 1pm during the Veterans Day Stew lunch. We are moving the drawing date and time to tomorrow at 2pm. We will be drawing live.

I want to thank everyone that helped place 750 flags on Veterans Graves at the Booneville Cemetery today. Those that helped representing the VFW, the VFW Auxiliary, the Booneville Women’s Club, the Republican Women of Prentiss County, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the DAR and Brandon Palmer and Jeanie Tice of Modern Woodmen. Thank all of you so very much.

Rain or Shine VFW Post 4877 will be placing 748 flags on Veterans Graves at the Booneville Cemetery on King Street this Wednesday, November 6th starting at 8am. Anyone who wants to help would be appreciated.

The Salvation Army in Tupelo will be opening a homeless shelter for Veterans on November 11th.

The Prentiss County Veteran Service Office will be closed next week Sept. 12-27 to attend required semi-annual CVSO training.
