"THIS IS GREAT TRAINING" Multiple agencies working together on a Mass Casualty Drill at the Boston Valley School. Erie County sheriff and local fire company's from Boston, Patchin, Colden, North Boston, and the Boston Emergency Squad brushed up on their communication skills , Command structure and ability to complete the tasks that were given to them. "GREAT JOB BY ALL INVOLVED"

05/17/2025

Tomorrow Morning May 17th @ 9:00am - approximately 1:00pm there will be a town wide emergency services training. There will be detours on Backcreek road from Homestead Road to Zimmerman Road. There will be a large presence of multiple agencies and is not a real event, just training so don’t be alarmed. Also please try to avoid the area while we work. We Thank you for your patience and understanding while we gain valuable skills to better serve the community should a large event take place.

Reminder that the Burn Ban is going on right now. Many people question why the ban happens during the spring when the ground is wet. Reason behind the ban is the dry vegetation that is on top of the wet soggy ground burns fast and spreads rapidly! There is no fresh vegetation to stop the spreading fire. Similar to why a dry unwatered Christmas tree burns and a well watered Christmas tree doesn’t.

So please don’t burn until may when the conditions are more likely to not allow fires to spread.

We would like to thank the Trevett Tree Farm and Springville Dairy for joining us at our annual installation dinner last night. We were honored to present them with a small token of thanks for everything they have done for our Fire Company and success of our multiple fundraisers. We enjoy working with these and other local businesses to interact and meet so many of the residents we serve every day.

We wish great success in your businesses and look forward to continuing to work with you in the future!
